The professional tasting note on this one hits it on the head. It works on a few levels, starting with the bite of cinnamon and oak at the beginning, smoothing out to a sweet vanilla cake-like flavor on the palate. The finish is superb, with a slight oak/cinnamon burn giving way to a coconut/almond/vanilla finish that lasts pleasantly longer than you'd expect.
It's a good one. Much like its 10-year brethren, it's a must-have if you like a complex, sweet bourbon.
