Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon

Let it breathe. Wanted to try it neat but was worried about the 55% ABV. Poured 2 fingers and let is sit for about 5 minutes. Really liked the result - smooth but with a spicy finish that makes you want the next sip, and I do mean sip, because it is 110 proof. Sweet, with a caramel maybe cream brule, or burnt sugar nose and taste. Will buy again.

A nose that hits strong yet fruity with a strong influence of warm caramel. The taste packs a full punch from the beginning. It starts with a deep caramel on the front of the tongue, building with oak and cherry through the middle, finishing with a slight rye peppery heat.
