Russian Standard Vodka

An entry level vodka, that holds its own against some of the pricier options. I wouldn't necessarily reach for this one over say Sobieski or Absolut, but it's decent enough. I get a bit of ethanol and lemon peel on the nose. The first sips are very smooth, with some wheat, pepper and a touch of sweetness. The finish is short and has a slight burn, not that off-putting. If it wasn't for the price, I would probably rate this a bit higher, but frankly Absolut is just a better vodka all-around so while this isn't bad, it just doesn't make sense to get this over that bottle.

A simply remarkable wheat Vodka, clean and smooth, sipped or mixed.
