RyeRye produced in the US must be made of at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels (no age requirement). Elsewhere, it will be made according to the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma is prominent with dried herbs, tobacco leaves, a touch of leather, pencil shavings and a bit of dried cherries. The palate is somewhat chewy and the flavor leans bittersweet and tangy. The dark cherries return at the end with a touch of vanilla cream. Despite the 110-plus proof, it can be enjoyed neat. "
