Sagamore Spirit Double Oak Rye

Nose: slightly sour barnwood, burnt marshmallow Palate: wow! A minty surprise! Super pleasant caramel sweetness with mint coming through, mouthfeel is medium viscosity and zero ethanol burn Finish: star anise, more mint, more caramel, sweet charred oak, super sweet but the finish initially dissipates quickly and then some soft mint xomds through. Summary: I’m not a huge fan of rye, but dang this is good. Only thing I found or lacking is no detectable ethanol, and zero Kentucky hug.

Heavy rye spice with some oak flavors upfront as well.

Big wood with nice rye notes. Great sipper

Nose: Maple syrup and oak bomb, Rye pine, Burnt sugar. Palate: Drying oak, tannis, sweetness, caramel. Decent mouthfeel Finish: This is where the rye kicks in. Rye spices. Dill. Surprisingly medium to long finish. Torn between a 3.75-4 on this one. Solely drink, 3.75. But factoring in price and availability its value is a 4. Final thought: This reminds me so much of a Woodford Double Oaked but with a Rye finish. Beautiful combo of the double oak with a rye. Will keep a bottle of this on my shelf. And because of price and availability, ill prob reach for it often.
