Vanilla and oakiness stand out for me. I enjoy Sailor Jerry, admittedly I preferred the old recipe but this is perfectly fine. It's great for cocktails or even just with Lemonade or ginger ale/beer.

It's hard to pick out any one flavor at once, but I do agree completely with the tasting notes- cinnamon, black cherry, and maybe some caramel with a serious bitter finish. Oh, and a mouthful of alcoholic fire. It's tough to enjoy, but there's some interesting flavors happening here. Shame it didn't turn out well. It does mix okay, with a nice subtle cinnamon taste, but the bitterness still shines.
