Shinobu Mizunara Oak Finish Blended Whisky

Bright fruity smell reminiscent of grape and citrus. Light mouthfeel, but smoothly warm going down. Taste is mild, with notes of citrus and oak. Very pleasant to sip; more of a warm weather whisky.

Very fruity on the nose with a hint of wheat. Palette is very subtle at first, oily with a little heat and char. The finish is very smooth with just a bit of fire in the throat. Very easy to drink.

Tried neat from flaviar tasting box. On the nares I get a sweet fruit with notes of apple and raisins. On the palate it’s high fruit, sweet, with minimal spice and a smooth finish

Nutty, peaty, briny with a tad of smoke, perfect for highballs but very well balanced neat or on the rocks

Smooth. Dry, Earthy, maybe sake-like nose and flavor.

Had the feel of Sake and notes of honey. Spicy on the palate and strong.

Wet peat and spice. Clean finish.
