SIA Scotch

NOSE Honey, dried orchard fruit, buttery toffee, vanilla cupcakes, banana taffy, graham crackers, and a slight earthy-farmy quality. It’s not super deep, but dang it’s pleasant. PALATE Buttery toffee, orchard fruit, tropical fruit, honey grahams and more of that earthy-farmy hay-like quality. Again, not super deep, but the SIA Blended Scotch is performing well above many others in the category. FINISH Med-short -> Banana chips and buttery toffee fade to earthy maltiness and a slight metallic note.

2nd tasting. Opened bottle. Neat. Nose: light & delicate. Floral. Honey suckle. Palate: minimal smoke, subtle hints of Caramelized Crème Brûlée / butterscotch, vanilla. Enjoyed the 2nd tasting on an opened bottle better than first but still wasn't terrible impressed. Not for me. Scoring Legend 5.0 - Near perfect, there is something truly special about this whisky. 4.5 - Amazing, will always try to keep a bottle of this in my collection (if feasible). 4.0 - Very Good, maybe only one minor nitpick about the whisky keeping it here. 3.5 - Good, quite enjoyable to drink. 3.0 - Solid, wouldn't go out of my way to get it. 2.5 - Meh, still drinkable.

Blah. Little peppery little zesty but blah.

Weak in complexity or flavor. Decent start. Poor finish. Would not buy (was a gift).

Moderate sweet vanilla start with a slight toasted middle and well rounded finish

1st tasting: did blind.just so-so. Nose: citrus, clove (I thought it was fennel), vanilla.Palate: quick fading spice, medium heat.Sweeter side.a bit sharp.
