Silk Velvet Single Barrel Bourbon

Review #347 Seelbach's private barrel Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium-dark amber. Nose: Caramel, maple, cocoa. Palate: Cinnamon, baking spice, oak. Finish: Long length with medium heat. Splash: No new flavors are revealed. Overall: 8/10 - I don’t usually say that the proof on anything is too high, but this could use to come down a few points. I had never heard of the brand prior to receiving this bottle from Seelbach’s, but I’m interested in trying their other expressions. This was a bruiser, but in a good way.
