Reviewed December 29, 2023Not been trying much in the way of new stuff but this looks interesting. The big brother uncut, unfiltered got high marks from me and I have enjoyed other young hot climate bourbons so the bar is set pretty high. Poured one up and let it sit. The nose is enticing albeit simple. It's quite fruity, way less alcohol than expected for a 120 proofer. The palate is agreeable but again simple, very caramel apple like. The neck pour was quite good but this one breaks down on the second pour. It's youth really shows here. It's hot and disjointed. The nose is barely discernable and bitter alcohol shows up on the palate. Gonna set back and revisit in a month.40.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed December 9, 2023Young and a lot more tame on the smoke from the older Smoke Wagons. Sweet front palette and spicy smoke finish for the rye. -

Reviewed November 26, 2023 (edited November 30, 2023)Insanely viscous. Hung on the glass for a minute before leaving a leg. Spring time honey in color. Nose is spiced fruit cake, orange peel, green apple, a hint of wintergreen. Lots going on there. Hot on the palate almost immediately, and builds with the proof and the cinnamon magnifying the heat. This is nearly an analgesic. Burnt caramel and a dry spicy woodiness in the back end. Leaves thoughts of golden raisins, too. Its got plenty of complexity, but its youth is obvious. Lacks subtlety and nuance. Makes an outstanding old fashioned.
