This is the first edition of this limited expression that is 100% produced in-house. It has a mash bill of 88% rye with 12% malted barley, matured at least 5 years. It is bottled non chill-filtered and non charcoal-filtered at a cask strength.
It's released in batches so each one will have a different ABV and flavor profile. This 2021 edition is available in limited quantities as of December, 2021. .

RyeRye produced in the US must be made of at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels (no age requirement). Elsewhere, it will be made according to the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

"The nose has robust spice notes combined with the aroma of toasted rye bread and a hint of green pepper. The palate echoes the green pepper along with earthy green tea, caramel, cinnamon, clove, fennel, and toasted caraway seeds. The finish of this full-bodied treat is long, toasty, and spicy with a hint of honeyed sweetness. (Review from Batch 3)"
