Reviewed January 12, 2021 (edited March 11, 2021)Nose: wheat, dusty corn, leather shoe, brown sugar, toasted grains. Palate: apple, cherry, cinnamon, vanilla, pear, brown sugar, toffee. Finish is warm and full of vanilla and all the sweet notes. Hot and unique. Opens up over time to be wonderful and surprisingly complex. -

Reviewed December 30, 2020A buddy’s barrel pick. Called “Firestarter”. I’m just happy to be with friends and my boy. Life is good. Vanilla, Carmel and some citrus finish. Love it! -

Reviewed December 24, 2020This was my first store pick. A 5-year barrel pick from my local store. I’ve never been a fan of barrel strength stuff. Too many of them are ethanol bombs for my pallet. But this one (barrel #24178), bottled at 58.8% alcohol is flat out delicious. Starts with a big floral nose that moves to toffee, peanut brittle, and honey on the palette wit a nose oak warm burn finish. One of the best bourbons I have tasted.
