Saxtons River Distillery // Vermont, USA
Saxtons River Distillery in Brattleboro, Vermont produces this vacuum-distilled American dry gin made from 100% neutral grain spirit. This method of steeping the botanicals does so at a lower atmospheric pressure, resulting in a much lower boiling point during distillation, and allows the spirit to retain more delicate notes and flavors.
The botanical lineup is comprised of: coriander, juniper, thyme, star anise, cocoa, orris root, cardamom, sarsaparilla root, rosemary, allspice, fennel seed, grains of paradise, orange peel, Damiana leaf, caraway seed, anise seed, and ginger. It is bottled at 44.

Modern GinAlso has been referred to as "Contemporary", "New Western", "New Wave", and "New American". This style is not legally defined. In general, this category of gin, while it does contain juniper, places less of an emphasis on this botanical. Other botanicals not classically used in London Dry gins are often utilized and often highlight botanicals grown in the region the gin is produced. Most produced as either London Dry or Distilled Gins.

Tasting Notes
"Snowdrop Gin is an assertively herbal gin with flavors of coriander, fennel seed, and thyme taking the lead on a very complex nose. Soft, sweet flavors of citrus and Baker’s chocolate emerge on the light but fresh palate and compliment the more bitter components. Notably played down is a strong impression of juniper which seems to be the co-pilot rather than captain of this drink. A very good candidate for citrus forward cocktails but a bit too modern for a classic martini."
