This single malt Scotch whisky from Springbank distillers was released in November 2020. It initially matured for 14 years in a mixture of bourbon and rum barrels, followed by three years in fresh Madeira hogsheads. Only 9,200 bottles are available worldwide.
"Immediately a very clear wine influence with earthy smoke, minerals and farmyard notes, as well as red berries and blackberries. The palate is sticky and mouthcoating, the classic Springbank profile holds up very well against the Madeira casks. A mixture of bright citrus fruits, beeswax and vanilla custard with caramel, this is a wonderfully complex single malt."
