Reviewed December 11, 2020 (edited December 31, 2020)Baking spices, ripe cherries and maple syrup nose. Cinnamon and deep fruit flavors. This is a really good fruit cake. Not those cheap and nasty ones. So moist and full of flavor. Extra long finish and long burn. So good. If I could only have one bourbon this is the one...any Stagg Jr batch will do! Cheers!62.99 USD per BottleKingsport -

Reviewed December 10, 2020Nose: cherry and rich milk chocolate. Some proof coming through. Dense. Palate: milk chocolate sweetness and oak. The proof is present but not overpowering. Finish: sweet oak finish with vanillas and chocolates. An absolute dense, sweet chocolate bomb. For 130+ proof, it sips easy. Delicious.60.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed December 4, 2020 (edited December 28, 2020)Since I have reviewed other Stagg Jr batches in full detail going to just hit the highlights on this one. So much brown sugar on the nose. Cherries for days as well. Hotter than batch 12 or 13, but once you add the right amount of water it comes alive. Caramel, fruit, and oak in nearly perfect harmony. Finish and mouthfeel as expected, and by that I mean “super long” and “thick and sticky” Is this batch as good as 12? Nooo. No. 13? Also no. Still an exceptional product? Hell yes. A steal at the $52 I paid for it. Would do all day, every day.52.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed December 4, 2020 (edited December 31, 2020)Color: Honey, blonde ale, more translucent than I expected based on how it looks in the bottle. Nose: Green Apple and vanilla, and heavy ethanol freshly poured. After sitting out, heavy oak and cherries on the nose. Palate: a complex blend of baking spices, bread notes and black pepper. Like biting into an apple pie — cinnamon and brown sugar, followed by tangy apples — then black pepper takes over before fading into a nice, warm, raisiny finish with a delightful Kentucky hug. Great mouthfeel — very oily, coats every bit of the mouth and clings long after the whiskey is gone. Sipping this bourbon is a wonderfully complex experience. I have not gotten the opportunity to try many heavily sought after bourbons, but this one is definitely one of the best I have had and an instant favorite.58.0 USD per Bottle -
