First pop. nose is vanilla and cereal grain and a little sweet berries. A little time and swirl gives it a blood orange hint and honey. Taste is vanilla cream candy (the kind with vanilla cream center and Carmel outer), spices, and roasted almonds on the back of the pallet. Finish is long but not overpowering. Back to an orange zest and and vanilla cream.

2021 bottling: Lots of oak on the nose. Like a dang sawmill. Rye spice and a Peppery mouthfeel the retreats to red apple and a little cherry. Finish is not so bad on the throat but lingers in the mouth and lips.

Yes! Spearmint and rye spice with apricot and peach on the nose. Mouth is full bodied maybe a little cocoa powder and fruity. Finish is long lingering cinnamon and warm. Every sip is something a little different on the palate

High Rye notes on the nose. Full mouth but not a very long finish for 117 proof. Good easy sipping with the proof as a extra punch.

First off, my bottle is 116 proof not 90 so take that with the notes. Tasting: You can smell the French oak very distinctly. Very rich and full with brown sugar and cookie. Snickerdoodle cookie and a bite on the pallet. Long lingering oily finish tobacco and licorice.

Creamy then spicy. Mouth watered for 2 full minutes. Lovely

Baking spices, ripe cherries and maple syrup nose. Cinnamon and deep fruit flavors. This is a really good fruit cake. Not those cheap and nasty ones. So moist and full of flavor. Extra long finish and long burn. So good. If I could only have one bourbon this is the one...any Stagg Jr batch will do! Cheers!

4 year is phenomenal. Just got two other 3 year store picks that are both aged at the KY rickhouse. They are on point also just not quite as flavorful. Love this rye
