Reviewed April 29, 2015 (edited September 21, 2015)Batch 144: from the moment I opened it and then slowly consumed a dram I had one thought--this smells/tastes like Mount Gay Extra Old. Now I like a good rum, and that is one of my favorites, but it's a bit strange coming from a whiskey. Update: after a back-to-back comparison I would say that my Stranahan's tastes like what spiced Mount Gay XO would taste like if they made it. -

Reviewed April 24, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)Not too shabby! Smelled very alcohol heavy when I first open it, but after I let it sit and it opened up a lot! Has two distinct taste, sweet first then spicy.
