t1 Tequila Añejo Estelar

This is a 100% Highland blue agave tequila created by Master Distiller Germán González. HIs father created the Chinaco brand back in the 1970’s and Germán follows suit by creating his own brand. Autoclaves (industrial pressure cookers) are used for cooking the agaves which are cooked for 20 hours before double distillation. The añejo is aged between 20-24 months in used Scotch barrels and is bottled in a distinctive, Aladdin-shaped bottle.
Tequila AñejoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least a year in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, but ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Añejo tequilas are also known as "aged" or "extra aged".
"Estelar shows its age in a pretty, deep caramel color, but defies it with a lively nose of spice, chocolate, caramel and some vanilla from the barrel. There is a touch of agave and cinnamon on the palate and a finish that lingers with the persistence of embers--a touch of never-say-die heat, in other words."
