t1 Tequila Reposado Excepcional
Tequila Reposado
T1 Tequila Uno // Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
t1 is produced by Master Distiller Germán González, formerly of his family's Chinaco, of 100% Highlands blue agaves--especially mature in some cases.
After slow autoclaving and double-distilling--and in the case of the reposado, spending six months in "very old" Scotch barrels, it is bottled in a distinctive, Aladdin-shaped bottle.

Tasting Notes
"The color is a pale straw befitting the used oak, and the nose presents brown, creamy spice (cinnamon and ginger but no pepper) plus some stewed agave. All of the above are present on the palate, along with a nuttiness (think pine nuts) and a little more cream--all doing a Fred and Ginger dance on the palate. A flash of pepper appears on the medium finish, wrapping up a tipple that is at once suave and street-smart. Try in a tall glass with ice and Topo Chico."
