Talisker 11 Year The Lustrous Creature of the Depths is one of eight bottlings for Diageo’s 2022 Special Release collection. Each whisky in the collection was selected by Master Blender Dr. Craig Wilson and each was bottled at cask strength. The theme for the 2022 collection is called "Elusive Expressions" and Diageo selected digital illustrators/artists Ken Taylor and Kevin Fong to design the packaging.
First-fill ex-bourbon, refill and wine seasoned casks were used for maturation. Released October 2022. (SRP $119.99).

Tasting Notes
"The nose: Imagine sipping a mug of mulled cider with a square of dark chocolate melting in it next to a pile of burning leaves on a beach. The palate takes on more of those flavors, like an apple roasting on a pit over a beach bonfire mixed with flavors of rosemary, clove, orange peel, cinnamon, and sage. Some brambly berry notes come into the finish, which is long and bright with sweet smoke curling throughout. "
