  • Bitter Liqueurs
Much like amaro, bitter liqueurs are made from the maceration or distillation (or combination) of herbs, spices, roots, flowers, or other botanicals. Bitter liqueurs are often red or orange in color, although they needn’t be. Sugar is added before bottling. ABV varies widely.

Tasting Notes

"This liqueur starts off with a lovely, bright ruby-orange hue and a strong, inviting aroma of orange blossoms, cardamom and a touch of clove. On the palate, it’s silky in texture and packs in quite a lot of baking spice flavor, along with a piquant dose of bitter orange peel. Use this bitter liqueur as a substitute for Campari in classics like the Negroni and Boulevardier."
