This opens with banana, rum, brown sugar, straw (which may be seemingly metallic) and tropical fruit (pineapple and coconut) on the nose. Those same notes carry onto the palate, which is light-bodied and soft with a bit of yeastiness packed with a bite. A brown sugar-sweet, soft finish that is slightly spicy, dry and oakey. A good Irish whiskey which is enhanced from the higher alcoholic content at an excellent price point. This should be the Irish Whiskey staple than the standard Jameson or Bushmills.
