RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"The nose is a pleasant aroma of peanuts, vanilla, oak and mix of cherry and apple fruit. It's a bit hot on the palate, but drinkable if you like your whiskeys on the dry and spicy side. The fruit is hard to find on the palate without water, but adding just a few drops or a cube brings forth more of those savory fruity notes of peanuts and cherries. It's also a bit sweeter and softer with the added water which is to be expected. The length is of moderate length. A solid offering from Templeton."
