Tequila AñejoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least a year in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, but ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Añejo tequilas are also known as "aged" or "extra aged".
"The aroma has a very clean cooked agave nose with sweet spices of vanilla and cinnamon and a touch of star anise. The añejo has a lot of barrel character, definitely a rye-whiskey lover's tequila. The finish is full of wood and a mysteriously buttery character."
