Tequila El Mayor Cristalino
Tequila Añejo
Tequila El Mayor // Jalisco, Mexico
Tequila El Mayor Cristalino is produced from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave harvested in the Lowlands of Jalisco. The agaves are cooked in an autoclave rather than an oven and the cooked agaves are shredded with a mill rather than a tahona. Twice distilled in copper-lined pot stills, it is then aged like an Añejo for at least 12 months in American oak.
But before bottling, it is fine charcoal filtered to remove its color. Available as of September 2019, Cristalino is a permanent addition to the brand's portfolio. .

Tasting Notes
"As its name suggests, this tequila is crystal clear. Because it's aged, however, it hangs on to the warmer aromas of an añejo—roasted agave, oak and vanilla. It has a nice, slightly briny flavor that would work nicely in a cocktail. However, it's lacking in the richness of a typical añejo and finishes with a touch of bitterness."
