Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year

Great flavor; gift from the Ashley family clan

Flip-flops in a bottle. At first dip the nose offers pungent mango (and is quite bourbony/rumy), but then softens more towards golden raisins and reveals its pleasant oakiness (think wooden boat on a beach). The palate has that orange peel bite and overall sharpness, but a drop of water (it was begging for it) cools it down a bit and some distant chocolaty notes appear. Oaky on the mouth as well.

Found this to be a bit spicier than the doublewood 12, which I preferred.
