Nose: Honey and vanilla, fruits and nuttiness.
Palate: More honey on the tip of the tongue. Sweet brioche, hazelnut, and dried fruits. Raisins, vanilla, and a splash of cinnamon.
Finish: Sweet spice & vanilla. It’s warming & comforting.
Conclusion: Perfect for a summer evening, or really any occasion. This whisky was my first love & I’ll keep it on my shelf as long as they keep making it. Bless you, David Stewart.
Mine is bottled at 43%.
I get honey, sherry, baked apple, oak, and ginger on the nose.
I get heat, spice, and oiliness on the palate.
The finish is astringent with a little spice and short to medium in length.
Aromas of deep sweet wood. Caramel. Hints of smoke. On the flavor the smoke was great than on the nose but still miles compared to many Scotches. Flavors were more wood and vanilla. Some spice on a finish that lingered nicely.
