Honey, drying spices. This is young whisky hiding behind some cask finish. It’s not terrible, but it must have been stuck in young bourbon or virgin oak because the harshness of the oak makes this hard to drink (even for me). I like the honey note and some spice, but ultimately, i think this needs more time in the cask - or more char on the barrel. That said, it was 50% off when I bought it and at 45, you pull the trigger every time.

Sweet. Honey, baked apple sweetness without the tartness, baking spices. Very grain forward and spicier than expected. The port and sauternes aren’t super prevalent from what I can tell.

Nose: Raisins, ethanol, sultanas. Taste: Raisins, Caramel, Vanilla, Cinnamon. Palate: The Carmel & Vanilla linger and then it melts to TOBACCO. My absolute favorite. This is really nice & I need to try it side by side with the 17 limited edition.
