Glenlivet 18 Year

This was my first actual meeting with single malt. It blew away every blend I had ever tasted. From that day it was game on. I remember it had a sweet nose and a perfect spicy taste + A long finish. I need a new bottle soon. 80/100 points

It's remarkable what a few months of decanting can do to some whiskies. An originally 2-star whisky now deserves 4, as time has mellowed and enriched the nose and flavors. There's apple and spice, almost evocative of a pie, with caramel rounding the experience. Quite delicious.
