Glenlivet Founder's Reserve

Not bad but not great. Forgettable but also drinkable

A pleasant, slightly fruity nose with notes of chocolate and tobacco. It is slightly smoky, with very strong notes of tobacco near the finish. There is a toch of formalin at the outset when neat, but it does not mar. Surprisingly, a splash of water seems to increase the formalin slightly, but it also allows some woody notes and a faint hint of apricot to come through. A very decent Speyside.
