Nose: Toffee/ caramel, fruit - apple/pear, sweet. A little floral and mint/ menthol
Palate: Sweet, orchard fruit (mainly pear, some sweet apple), toffee (penny caramel), a little milk chocolate. Hints of aniseed
Finish: Medium finish. Toffee sweetness, sultanas, pear drops. Hints of vanilla and a sweet apple on the aftertaste.
This is an easy dram to drink. It’s too sweet for my palate, but it has a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and hardly any spice, so it just seems to disappear from the glass. Not a memorable dram at all, but there’s nothing wrong with that. OK, if a little sweet.
