Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak Cask

Very good and amazingly rich for a 12 year, but not quite a standout for the price point. Would be the best $45 bottle, but is only a solid competitor for its asking price. Rich, creamy texture. Gentle sweetness. Mild saltwater with fruit rind.
