Macallan 18 Year Sherry Oak Cask

Its unique woody and vanilla aromas first welcome me and then introduce to the gentle touch of ginger and orange zest. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium-bodied. The flavor is very dry, piney, and mildly bitter. As it gets warm the characters of apple, raisin, and yuzu rise.

Sweet fruit with a caramel tabbacco finish.

On the nose there’s orange peel, sherry cask, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, figs, toffee and charcoal. Rich and sweet on the palate; flavors of charred oak, vanilla, dry red wine, fig, toffee, cinnamon, white pepper, berries and orange.
