Macallan Edition No. 3

Smell is vanilla . Initial taste is a smack of astringency which slowly turns syrupy and medicinal. No smoke, no salinity. Finish is oaky.

Maybe a bit better (richer) than classic cut 2017 and 18, same as ed 4. Comparable to 18 yr.

rich sweetness creamy berry, cherry, mid pep, high pep, 2.5 chocolate, malty, thick berries and cherry, tinge of bitterness at the back, grainy, coarse, sourness - while i like the chocolate cocoa touch to this, but the others seems to be a little unrefined 1 high sustain berry 1 1.5 macallan edition 3 smooth caramel, grapes, sweetness, red fruits, acidic and high pep, dryness 2 sweetness roundenss and complexity, chocolate, quite a nice hit of sugary grapes, it gets a little dull and flat bitterness aftertaste 2 oaky, low low sustain - no kick 2 2
