Reviewed June 14, 2021Bottle 17, Barrel 292. Dumped 12/20. Nose: funky mushroom, vanilla, lemongrass, peanut, hey, cola Palate: thin, hot, peanut brittle, allspice, caraway, a little sour cherry Finish: medium with candy corn and muesli - this is where the high malt % comes through it seems From what I understand a friend purchased this on a wayward, off ramp journey somewhere around Cleavland, OH. The pit stop itself was abysmal and made parts of Kentucky sound like Valhalla. This was one of the few bottles of liquor he could find there. With that said this is quite passable. Young, but passable. I cannot, however, in any way recommend it when so many other $20 BiB exist. -

Reviewed May 13, 2021 (edited June 22, 2022)Not the worst whiskey I've had but close. Tastes young for a bonded whiskey that ends with an off-putting flavor of sulphur that reminds me of well water -

Reviewed March 22, 2021First: I have a ton of respect for distillers that can put out a bottled in bond product. There’s a lot of stuff out there that sells you insanely overpriced MGP. And you think it’s cool Nose. Vivid green apple skins and caramel. Palate: GREAT mouthfeel. Sweet oak. Hot spice burn and some slow molasses tannins. All in all, not a bad pour at all. It’s got it’s own mood for sure. I’m far from an expert. Just my opinion.
