Tomatin 14 Year Port Casks

Dark fruits, smooth to begin then a surprising kick at the ene

Maybe it's a bad batch, but this is a very below par whisky. For a 14 year old it should caress the palate, but it's actually very harsh. There are NAS whiskies that are much mellower. On the nose - nothing, or something very vague and indefinite. The taste - absolutely disappointing. Finish - none. I'm not an expert, but I guess it's bad quality casks. I don't recommend it, and I will never purchase another Tomatin.
