Tomatin 18 Year Oloroso Sherry Casks

Caramel. Molasses. Mild finish rolls off tongue.

Just opened the bottle A- amber +1, high viscosity N- cereal, nutty, vanilla, honey, toffee,fresh fruits ( tangerines, pears, green apples, sultanas, banana) P- gentle spicy arrival, full, rich, oily, nutty(peanuts, almonds, walnuts), sweet (honey, vanilla, toffee) fruity ( tangerines, sultanas, green apples, banana, pears) barley malt, cereal, wet oak F- medium to long finish, sweet-nutty-cereal- oaky aftertaste (yummy!!!) C- wow!! to be honest I was not expecting this what a delicious dram, not complex but yummy and balanced! and what I paid for this (89$) I think it's a steal if you manage to find a good deal for this one jump!!! I believe you won't be disappointed

Nose: rich, bourbon, hint of sherry/ cherry. Fruitcake, raisins, orange peel Taste: spicy, rich, syrupy, velvet. Lot of elements at play. Quite enjoyable. Wood: Initially got the whiff of bourbon but think this is more a sherry cask or even maidera, maybe port Close to giving 4.5 but it was a little harsh on the finish. Just a bit Distillery? * Glendronach (port wood) * Compass box
