This whisky is using a different yeast strain than their standard non-peated bottling, the American Single Malt. The barrel used to age the whisky is only at a Char No. 3 level rather than the standard No. 4 level (a heavy char) and is aged for just over 2 years. The five malt mash bill is identical to the standard bottling: Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, and Brown Malt.

Tasting Notes

"With the lighter char level, the whisky is more about dried herbs and dried flowers. Adding just a splash of water brings out a roasted nut quality with a side of milk chocolate pudding. The whisky isn't sweet from the vanilla you'd get from the barrels, but rather from the cereal itself."
