This whiskey is one of three releases in Traverse City Whiskey Co.'s "Finishing Series." Each of the three feature a TCWC different whiskey with a unique barrel finish up to 12 months. This Sherry Barrel Finish begins with a high-rye bourbon with a mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley aged 5 years.
It is then finished for almost 12 months in PX sherry wine barrels. It's bottled at 95 proof. Each of the three whiskeys are available at TCWC's tasting rooms and online as of March 2023. (SRP $59.

Tasting Notes
"The nose is reminiscent of a brewed spiced mint tea that's been mixed with fruit (raspberry, mango, blueberry). The palate is much richer than the nose would suggest, with flavors of salted almond butter, dried dates, raisins, and jammy berries. A sweet spice mixture folds in to the mid palate and carries the fruity nutty mixture into the finish with a hint of the mint suggested on the nose, adding to the balanced sipping experience. "
