Twelfth Hour NZ Dry Gin

Reviewed January 7, 2025As a kiwi I'm always really hopeful when i try kiwi gin. I generally find NZ gins anywhere from $20 -$30 more expensive than an international equivalent and unfortunately most just don't pass the sniff test for me. Unfortunately this gin was no exception. It tastes fine straight but i find nothing special about any of its flavours nor do i find anything lingering on the palate that makes me want to go back for more. There's nothing truly unique, nor anything inspired, unconventional or anything noteworthy about this gin at all. Perhaps i'm being harsh but this gin is completely forgettable and just gets lost in the pack of overpriced "artisanal" branded gins that just dont live up to any of their hype or marketing.70.0 AUD per Bottle -

Reviewed October 25, 2022Delightfully crisp with the kefir lime subtly coming through midway. This is a quality, well-balanced gin, and it stands beautifully on its own or perhaps over ice. I’d imagine that not every mixer would work with it given its unique flavor, so best to try on its own before committing it to a cocktail.
