Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch Whiskey (Sourced Whiskey)

See my detailed review under the Master Blend version About 85% corn with the balance evenly divided between rye and barley, about six years old. It was very sweet and thin textured. Little fragrance and depth with no finish.

Tried this one again since I like the 1856 so much, but again not super impressed with this expression. On the nose you get faint hints of honey and citrus, maybe lemons. This carries forward to the palate with a bit of a corn taste at the back. The finish is quick and indistinct. Again, nothing to dislike, but nothing impressive either.

Good lean nose with a sugar cookie note…easy on the palate for 93 proof. Has a longer finish than expected. Good every day sip!
