Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin was created in 2012 by 3 Badge Mixology founder August Sebastiani as a tribute to his uncle, Zio Valerio, an avid cook and gardener.
Made from a neutral grain spirit, the gin is distilled with five botanicals—juniper, cucumber, lemon, sage, and lavender—selected to reflect the ingredients his uncle favored.

Distilled GinThis style of gin takes a neutral spirit and then adds juniper berries and other natural flavorings before it is re-distilled. After distillation, additional flavors (artificial or natural) and sweeteners may be added.
Tasting Notes
"Cucumber, cucumber, and more cucumber on the nose (did I mention cucumber!?). Once it sits for a while, there is a bit of citrus and then faint juniper. The palate is clean, quite fresh and tasty. Smooth finish with a spearmint/menthol kick. A bit surprising considering all the cucumber. Very different gin indeed. Highly recommend trying it in a classic martini."
