Vieux Carré Absinthe is made at Philadelphia Distilling in the US using a double maceration process with the herbs which include: grand wormwood, petite wormwood, green and star anise, fennel doux Provence, melissa, genepi, hyssop, and spearmint. After first macerating with a neutral grain base, it is then distilled.
Then post-distillation, select herbs are used to give the absinthe its verte or green color. Bottled at 60% ABV.

"The aroma isn't one note, rather there's more going on here than just anise. More of a fresh herbs than bitter roots here. As you taste, there's a decent amount of complexity here with a gentle anise note. More bitter and earthy on the finish. (Reviewed with water/absinthe ratio 4:1)"
