A Virginia take on Speyside whiskies.

Light and simple with a short finish

Felt jumbled in comparison to the others they offer (cuvee, bourbon, sherry), which makes sense as it’s a mix of those others. Still very good - not sure if it’s plum per se, but they each have a distinct dark fruity note.

Hits a little hard neat. A little softer over ice but the smoke is a little much. I will say that i am not a big single malt guy so can only compare to Livet, Fiddich and an occasional Macallan.

Nose is clean and astringent. Grass, new mown hay. Slight swimming pool and receding floral notes. Sugar candy. Pleasntly viscous mouthfeel. Warming but flavor is mostly alcohol. Some honey on the tip of the tongue. Slight lemon drop, so honey-lemon tea?
