Unflavored VodkaDistilled from any agricultural product, most commonly grains or potatoes. Typically distilled to 95% ABV. Water is added to bring the spirit down to as low as 37.5% ABV in the EU and 40% ABV in the US. It is usually filtered, often with charcoal, prior to bottling. It is almost always clear and unaged.
Tasting Notes
"Not a lot on the nose, but you'll find some herbal notes there. There's a sugarcane scent there, but not as intense as an unaged rum would be. The vodka feels soft on the palate with a bit of a creamy texture. Sweetness carries on until the finish where it's got a little alcohol burn with a peppery bite to it. Wouldn't say it's a sipper, but it's fine on the rocks or as a mixer."
