Weller 12 Year Bourbon

Not much nose or finish. Palate is subtle. Very easy drinker. Nothing offensive, but nothing that makes me want to come back either.

Nose: apples, caramel, light toffee. Dark cherry and baking spices. Taste: apples and peaches covered in honey and caramel. Strong spicy finish of baking spices and oak. Water tames the harshness greatly. Brings out more sweetness and fruit on the taste.

A bit of a letdown especially for the price. I prefer 107 to this. Weller 12 gave a beautiful nose. Chocolate mixed with vanilla, some spices in there like cinnamon and distant citrus but faint. The palate is where this failed. It was super thin and light. I think this would dramatically improve at higher strength. 85/100
