Weller 12 Year Bourbon

Overhyped. People should never pay over MSRP for this. The low proof makes it a bit thin and its too oaky for my tastes. I prefer sweeter bourbons and the sweetness on this is muted. A little water opens it up a bit, but not enough. There is no reason why this is sought after so much. I assume its just hype. There are many better bottled that can easily be had for less money. It’s good, but not as good as its reputation.

Vanilla on the nose. No heat on the finish.

Very smooth and pretty sweet. A little thin but definitely better than regular Weller.
