Weller Antique 107 Bourbon

On the nose, sweet honey, vanilla and a little graham cracker couple with tea leaves. Oily and easy on the tongue initially, sweet and honey breaks way to a burst of sweet stone fruit. Its light, its full of intense flavors. Fairly complex, light, rich warm, easy, fruity and does not taste its proof. Very tasty.

Nose: vanilla, burnt caramel, a little oak, floral , cinnamon Taste: long spice, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, sweet floral aftertaste.

Hmm...in contrast to my previous review, I actually loved this bourbon this time. THe more I tasted it, the more it grew on me. Perhaps it needs to be sampled in isolation. It has simple aromas of vanilla, cola, and maple syrup, but it has a taste of cherries and smoke and a the bitterness of citrus pith that quickly flashes into a serrano-spicy kick that echoes...and echoes...and echoes, almost rye-like. At first sip, it's a little aggressive, but each successive sip is more and more inviting, like easing in to a sauna. I've gotta recommend it, much more highly than I did at first tasting.

On the nose, well it smells like bourbon to me as I cannot smell anything. First sip, it tastes like sweet butterscotch candy, caramel candies, slight vanilla and very very smooth. On the finish, it is long, slight Kentucky hug and activates the salivary glands a bit with some sour and sweet hints. Very very tasty!
