Dark fruit is very apparent on both the nose on the palate. A bit of oak and spice on the nose with some interesting toasted note slightly in the background. A little bit of maple as well.
As previously mentioned, the dark fruit fruit begins on the palate. It lightens up a bit with some bright red apple coming through. You start to notice that proof burn in a pleasant way. It's rounds out with spice and vanilla.
Off memory alone, this seems like a much better offering than the green label. There's a bit more to offer here. Not overly complex, but nicely balanced with a good amount of spice.
