Barrel select. Pretty sure this is my favorite of the Weller’s, haven’t tried William Larue yet. I usually drink it neat, but this does taste REALLY good with a big cube and a twist of lemon. Prices and availability make it somewhat elusive, but not to be passed up when it appears.
4.5 ⭐️ / $49 / Beverage Warehouse / LA
Aroma - wood and carmel- sweet
Taste - sweet then straight to the burn then an oaky flavor
Finish - lasting burn then a savory aftertaste - apple cinnamon
Better with a splash of water
3.7/5 - Earthy cherry flavour with some serious kick! This is not mellow, it's intense and spicy. Lots of cinnamon on the finish. At times it reminds me of a red lollipop infused with cinnamon and pepper (Not rye pepper, but just pure enthanol). Will likely always try and have a bottle of this in the cabinet. worthy of the hype.
